Today's episode features Jasmine Burton. Jasmine is the Founder and CEO of Wish for WASH, a social impact collective that strives to bring innovation to sanitation through culturally specific design, research, and education. In this episode, Jasmine describes what inspired her technology assessment and MPH dissertation from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, The Role of the SaTo Pan Toilet Technologies in Advancing Progress in the WASH Sector, which was published in the recent issue Impacts of Emerging Technologies on Inequality and Sustainability, in collaboration with the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY). Today's episode features George Profitiliotis. George is an Electrical & Computer Engineer with an interdisciplinary Masters of Science in “Environment and Development” offered by the National Technical University of Athens. He is currently a PhD candidate exploring the ex-ante economic valuation of future national Planetary Protection policies for private activities between Earth and Mars. George also works as a Foresight Expert at the UNESCO Chair on Futures Research in Greece, hosted in the PRAXI Network, a distinct administrative unit operating within the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), the most active research organisation of Greece.
